BURNHAM – Corinne A. Sanborn, born on Feb. 19, 1933, passed away peacefully on Jan. 8, 2025, in Burnham. Corinne dedicated many years of service to the City of Waterville’s Welfare Department and the Federal Trust Bank. She was also a committed member of the Oakland Methodist Chapter 191 and the Church Order of the Eastern Star.
Corinne was a graduate of Waterville High School. Even after her formal education ended, she continued to apply her knowledge and skills to contribute meaningfully to her community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore Sanborn; her parents; and her sister, Marie Ange Reny; John Derosby husband of Elaine; sisters Lorraine Mcintosh and Pauline Wiernusz, brother, Richard Reny, and brother-in-law, Clyde Taylor.
Corinne’s legacy continues through her children, Wayne E. Sanborn of Raymond, Elaine B. Derosby of Unity, Alan D. Sanborn of Benton; her siblings Jeannette Taylor of Scarborough, brother-in-law, Jack Wiernusz of Meriden, Conn., and sister-in-law, Louise Reny, of Ewing, N.J. She is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Civic Center Drive V.A. Chapel in Augusta with the Eastern Star participating, and officiation by a minister from the Chandler Methodist Church.
Corinne’s life was marked by her dedication to her community and her love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
