American Legion Auxiliary Unit 39 is collecting items for a Luck of the Draw fundraiser, set for Saturday, March 15, at the Madison Veterans of Foreign War Post 7865, 58 Preble Ave. in Madison.
Welcomed donations include quilts, afghans, pictures, tools, small furniture, theme baskets/totes/boxes like laundry baskets full of cleaning supplies, movie nights, homemade goodies (baked goods, pickles and jams), girls and boys baskets, non-perishable items, coffee/cocoa with mugs, and gift cards/certificates. Items can be new or slightly used. Dirty, broken or torn items will not be accepted.
Items will be accepted during a baked bean supper scheduled for 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Starks Community Center, 57 Anson Road in Starks. Proceeds from both events benefit the American Legion Post 39 Building Fund.
