AUGUSTA — University of Maine at Augusta Senior Events and Learning Media Production Specialist Rick Burns has received the 2025 AVA Digital Awards platinum distinction for his production of the music video “You Will Carry Me.”

The project features the musical group Lab Brats performing “You Will Carry Me,” a song written and performed by university Assistant Professor of Music Lindsey Wiehl. Produced as part of the university’s music course, which focuses on integrating music with visual storytelling, the video showcases Maine-based performers, including university students.
Burns, who produces videos and facilitates live events, is a 1992 graduate of the New England School of Communications and has been with the University of Maine at Augusta since 2001.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
