Alice L. Morrill

ST. ALBANS – Alice L. Morrill, 86, died peacefully in her home Feb. 12, 2025. She was born on Nov. 7, 1938, in Boston, Mass. Alice was the daughter of the late Alfred and Muriel (Laidlaw) Braun. Alice was raised in Boston and attended Boston public schools.

She met the love of her life in Boston and married Harvey Morrill Jr. on June 15, 1957. Together they had four children and had over 60 years marriage.

In 1967 the family moved to Cambridge, Maine. Alice spent her time helping to raise her family and working for many years; retiring from her last job at Dexter Shoe. She spent many more years thereafter, quietly taking care of her husband whom had been in poor health in his later years. In 2004 she moved with her husband to St. Albans. She very much enjoyed chatting over coffee with family, and it was a sure bet that there would be a pastry to go along with the coffee as she was known to have a sweet tooth. She was known to all the family as a great cook, and she always made the best holiday dinners and apple turnover deserts. She enjoyed the peace of watching birds at her bird feeders, though she admitted that many times the squirrels ate as much seed as the birds.

Alice was predeceased by her husband Harvey Jr. in 2017. Alice is survived by her daughter Denise Clukey and her husband Steven of Corinna, her daughter Laura Morrill-Hall and her husband Jeff of Dover Foxcroft, her daughter Susan Morrill of Cambridge, and her son Harvey Morrill and his wife Lisa of Oakland. Alice is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews.

At Alice’s request there will be no services.
