Kenny Connors and Jack Musa also scored in the first period, and Joey Musa made it 4-0 in the second period. Michael Hrabel made 38 saves for 14th-ranked UMass (19-12-4, 10-9-4).
Charlie Russell scored Maine’s only goal early in the third.
The teams conclude the regular season Saturday at UMass.
