WINSLOW — Winslow High School’s drama club took the stage of Yarmouth High School March 9 to perform its One-Act Play, “The Velveteen Rabbit,” by Elise Kauzlaric.
The club placed runner-up. The set crew received a special commendation for its kid-like set, and the club received two all-festival cast awards. One was given to Cameron Lavallee for portraying “The Skin Horse,” and the other was given to Jonathan Nalley for depicting “The Model Boat,” according to a news release from Abigail Chartrand with the school.
Helping the club receive second place were Morgan Haywood as “The Velveteen Rabbit,” and Aubrey Moors as “The Boy.” Also, Meghan Mahoney as “Nana,” and Caleb Bonacci as “Timothy The Tin Solider.” They also had Richie April as “Uncle/Doctor” and Abigail Chartrand and Hailee Buker as the “Dancing Rabbits.” The crew included Awsten Jordan, Breana Castagnetto, Max Willigar, Stella Brunelle, Bryanna Prentiss, Paige Littlefield, Jocelyn Lizzotte, Jacob Jordan, Abigail Bertone, Al Price and Moira Bevan.
Ttheir directors were Kris Vigue and Duane P. Vigue.
The high school’s drama club’s next performance will be a play called “Deadline” by Don Zolidis, to be performed at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, May 21-22, in the school’s auditorium.
