I’m writing about the March 9 Maine Sunday Telegram report on the loss of local cobblers.
We used to count on these shops for repairing our shoes. As a Heels, I’m particularly disappointed about the decline of these shoe shops. I used to go into a shop to have the heels on my shoes replaced or repaired. When the cobbler would ask me my name, I’d tell him it was Heels. He’d give me a little look of disbelief. After a few moments, he’d think it was funny.
Good article.
