Noble senior Jamier Rose was named the Gatorade Maine Boys Basketball Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season on Friday.
Rose, who early this month was named Mr. Maine Basketball and won the Fitzpatrick Trophy as the top senior football player in the state in the fall, led Noble to an 18-3 record this season and a berth in the Class A South final.
A 5-foot-10 guard, Rose averaged 19.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 5.1 steals per game.
“Every team he plays knows he is the best player and he still finds a way to impact and dominate games,” Sanford coach Jake Mills said in a press release. “He is an outstanding player and the best player we faced once again this season.”

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
