JACKMAN – Edward Joseph McCall Jr., 74, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Augusta.
Born on Feb. 18, 1951, Edward, affectionately known as “Ed”, dedicated 15 years of service to the United States Coast Guard, where he exemplified commitment and bravery.
Ed was a cherished member of the St. Faustina’s Church in Jackman and his faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was deeply committed to his educational pursuits, having attended St. Paul School in St. Paul, Kan., followed by Maur Hill in Atchison, Kan., and eventually graduating from St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kan.
Throughout his life, Ed was known for his devotion as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, puttering in his garage, and engaging in genealogy to connect with his family roots.
Ed is survived by his sisters, brothers; in-laws; wife; son, stepdaughters; and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy McCall; his adoptive father, Edward McCall Sr., his adoptive mother, Pauline McCall; and his biological mother, Jaqueline Fecteau.
A graveside service will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Jackman, at 12 p.m. on May 17, where friends, family, and those whose lives were touched by Ed are welcome to pay their respects and celebrate his remarkable life.
