
Darryl James Nadeau
SIDNEY – It is with great sadness to announce the unexpected passing of Darryl Nadeau, 63, on March 22, 2025, due to natural causes. Darryl was a loving husband, dad (too two fur babies), brother, uncle and friend.
Darryl was born on August 26, 1961. He married his wife Nikole Nadeau 10 years ago, however they shared 20 years together before getting married. Darryl and Nikole were able to travel to many countries and create loving memories over the years including some trips with family and friends.
Darryl joined the Army National Guard for 6 years, also worked as a machinist for many years before becoming an instructor at CATC in Augusta, teaching Machine Tool and Welding. He enjoyed teaching and those he worked with very much.
He joined the Waterville Elks nine years ago, became a trustee and in most recent years volunteered as the Maine State Accident Prevention & Insurance Risk Program representative. As Elk members of the Waterville #905 lodge, Darryl and Nikole became great friends with many other members and cherish those friendships.
Darryl was predeceased by his parents Gerard and Cecile Nadeau, sister Coleen, and his father-in-law Roland Raymond.
He is survived by his wife Nikole Nadeau; his siblings (and spouses), Gerard (Jane) Nadeau, Peter (Venita) Nadeau, Lee Nadeau, Joyce (Tedd) Fisher and Alan (Paula) Nadeau ; his mother-in-law Judy Raymond; sisters/brother-in-law (and spouses) Nancy (Caleb) Keune, Naomi (Lance) Raymond, Natalie (Chris) Brann, Sam (Tiffany) Raymond; along with lifelong friend (like a brother) Bob Bilodeau; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear loving friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the Waterville Elks Lodge #905, 76 Industrial St. Waterville, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME 04330.
