Devin Alex Douglass
CLINTON – Our beloved son, grandson, father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Devin Alex Douglass, returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on March 22, 2025, at the young age of 29.
Devin was born in Waterville on June 27, 1995, to William and Tonya (Dodge) Douglass. Devin graduated from Lawrence High School in 2014 and then went to work for the family business and Castine Energy. Devin’s caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone he came in contact with. He had a special gift of not only seeing the good in people, but bringing out the best in them as well.
Devin was an avid lover of the outdoors; he spent much of his time fishing and escaping to Eustis. He especially liked growing up on a dead-end road. His favorite moments were spending time with family and his son. Observing Devin become a father was one of the most incredible things as his love for his son had no limits. Everything he did was for him. His love for the family brought out the happy free spirit that defined him. Devin also had a love of music which was an expression of his emotions and individuality. His love for outdoors and music were only surpassed by the love he had for those he called family.
The relationship he had with his mother was like no other. They shared an unbreakable bond. Devin was a wonderful brother and uncle. Always making sure he spent quality time with his siblings, who he looked up to more than anything. He always made time for nieces and nephews and was especially close to his niece, Alyssa, who was more like a sibling to him.
Devin was selfless and put others first. He was fun loving, outgoing and vivacious. He was an example to so many and a shining light to all who knew him. When you think of Devin, celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. He will be missed more than any words could express. He will be forever in our hearts till we meet again.
Devin was predeceased by his father, William Douglass; grandparents Dana Dodge, Della (Martin) Douglass and William Walter Douglass, and his Papa Ron Roy.
Devin is survived by his mother, Tonya Douglass-Smith and stepfather Dale Smith; his son, Emmett Douglass and Emmett’s mom, Savannah Dustin; his wife, Kaela Douglass; his brother, William Douglass Jr., his sister, Christine Douglass and partner Coby Foss; his loving grandmother, Karen Theriault and her companion Steve Dodge; aunts and uncles Daniel and Lori Bolduc, Janice and Marshal “Skip” Douglass, Dana Dodge and fiancée Jessica Pooler, Danielle and Tyrone Sullivan, Heather and Adam Poulin, Michael and Courtney Gamblin; Nana Sheryl Dodge; nieces, nephews; cousins; and so many other countless extended family members.
