Make it two 0-0 ties in two USL League One games for the Portland Hearts of Pine.

Just three days after advancing to the third round of the U.S. Open Cup, Portland returned to league competition Saturday night and played to a stalemate in Washington against the Spokane Velocity.

Both teams put only two shots on target, though Spokane had a large edge in attempted shots, 15-4. The Velocity also had four corner kicks, to none for Hearts.

Portland tied first-place FC Naples in its first USL1 game, also on the road. Next up is another road game next Saturday against South Georgia Tormenta FC. Hearts then host an Open Cup game against Rhode Island FC at Lewiston High on Tuesday, April 15.
