RANDOLPH – Tanya Jarvis, 71, died March 25, 2025 at her home after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She faced her battle with grace and courage. Her unwavering love and concern for those around her remained steadfast until the end. Tanya will be deeply missed by all those who knew and cherished her.
Tanya shared 50 years of marriage with David, a journey of deep love, challenges, memories, laughter and resilience.
Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Tanya found joy in simple pleasures – the greatest being that of spending time with family and sharing stories around the kitchen table.
Tanya had a remarkable talent for cooking, transforming simple ingredients into something truly special. She took great pride in teaching her daughters to cook with intuition rather than strict measurements – favoring a pinch of this and a dash of that, always guided by taste. Her legacy lives on in meals prepared by her daughters, especially in the cherished recipes they spent years perfecting, a testament to her love and wisdom.
Tanya is survived by her husband, David Jarvis; daughters Kerry Caron and husband Jon, Victoria Taranto, Amanda Frost and husband Frank, and Traci Jarvis; nine grandchildren; sister and best friend, Edith Rogers, sister, Sheila, brother, Gary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tanya was predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Violette, with whom we know she is now reunited in peace
In accordance with Tanya’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date with close family and friends.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
