I appreciate Congresswoman Chellie Pingree for being the only member of the Maine delegation to Congress to hold not just one, but multiple town halls. As a member of Indivisible Mid Maine, I am proud to be one of her constituents; there are thousands of others of Indivisible members who are, too.

I am wondering, however, where are the town halls with Sens. Angus King and Susan Collins and Congressman Jared Golden?

• Mainers are at risk of losing their Social Security, health care and jobs because federal departments are being closed.
• Veterans are losing access to services that were promised to them when they signed up to serve this country.
• People who are in this country legally are being snatched off the streets, arrested, treated as criminals and sent to detention centers here and notorious jails paid for with our tax dollars in El Salvador.
• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and NOAA have been prohibited from providing information about disease outbreaks and weather alerts.
• Elected Republicans have suddenly become pro-communist and support Putin’s version of his war against Ukraine.
• An unelected billionaire is running the country and has access to our Social Security and tax return information.
• The Trump administration is defying the courts.

Shouldn’t our elected representatives be addressing these events with their constituents who are feeling the effects of these outrageous actions? Where are they and why are they refusing to talk with us?
