As a proud resident of Maine, I want to thank Sen. Susan Collins for her leadership in introducing bipartisan legislation to expand access to apprenticeships. This bill is a much-needed step to help more individuals gain the skills and experience they need to succeed in today’s workforce.
Apprenticeships provide a valuable pathway for people of all ages to learn on the job while earning a paycheck. In Maine, where industries like health care, construction and manufacturing are thriving, this legislation will create new opportunities for workers and help employers find the skilled workforce they need.
By expanding access to apprenticeships, Sen. Collins is not only helping individuals build a better future for themselves but also strengthening Maine’s economy as a whole. In today’s fast-changing world, providing more pathways to meaningful careers is crucial, and this bill will make that possible.
Thank you, Sen. Collins, for working to ensure that hardworking Mainers have the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.
