The largest crowd in Maine Mariners history turned out to witness a 4-2 win over the Adirondack Thunder on Sunday at the Cross Insurance Arena in Maine’s season finale. The crowd was announced at 6,361.
Matthew Philip, Brooklyn Kalmikov, Linus Hemstrom and Robert Cronin scored for the Mariners, with Kalmikov’s and Hemstrom’s goals coming 11 seconds apart in the second period. Justin Bean had two assists and Lynden McCallum and Kalmikov added one apiece, with McCallum’s helper giving him 100 career ECHL points.
Mariners goalie Brad Arvanitis stopped 31 of 33 to earn his 11th win. The Mariners’ sellout was their 11th in 36 home games.
The Mariners finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 33-35-4 and 19-16-1 on home ice.
