JD Davison of the Maine Celtics, already named league MVP earlier this month, on Thursday was named to the All-NBA G League first team, joining Tim Frazier in 2014-15 as the only players in franchise history named to the first team.

Davison was also named to the All-G League third team last season. This season, he averaged 25.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. He helped Maine to a 21-13 record and a spot in the Eastern Conference finals for a second consecutive season. The 6-foot-1 guard surpassed 30 points in 15 games while recording 13 double-doubles and two triple-doubles.

Davison was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 53rd overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft. On Sunday, the Boston Celtics announced that Davison had signed a standard NBA contract with the team, converting his existing two-way contract.

Also named to the G League first team were Oscar Tshiebwe (Salt Lake City Stars), Mac McClung (Osceola Magic), Jaylen Nowell (Capital City Go-Go) and Malachi Flynn (Austin Spurs).
