How can Gov. Janet Mills and her administration be so out of touch with the people of Maine? Is it pride, ego, power, limelight? The newest Pine Tree State Poll, a States of Opinion Project, conducted by the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Survey Center, shows that 64% of respondents said that biological men “definitely” or “probably” should not participate in women’s sports.
How can the left turn on women so quickly? They used be be all about women’s rights, but they seem to have abandoned them for political expediency. Is it that anything goes to counter President Trump, like burning Teslas, the most successful, environmentally friendly car out there?
It appears the Democrat leftists will do anything for political gain and power. Resist, resist, resist, with any means at hand. They love totalitarian control, like they have here in Maine. We citizens need to stand up and vote them out of office and restore balance, common sense and fiscal restraint to our state.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
