Tyler Miller hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning and a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the eighth as the Portland Sea Dogs rallied for a 4-3 win over the Reading Fightin Phils in an Eastern League game Thursday night at Hadlock Field.
The Sea Dogs trailed 3-0 until Blaze Jordan led off the bottom of the seventh with a walk and Miller followed with his third home run of the season.
Mikey Romero walked to start the eighth inning and came around to score the tying run on singles by Ahbram Liendo and Jordan. Miller then drove in Liendo with the go-ahead run.
Zach Bryant was credited with the win after retiring all five batters he faced, with three strikeouts. Jonathan Brand escaped a jam in the ninth, earning his second save.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
