
NORTH ANSON — Logan Caldwell had two hits, including a triple, to lead the Carrabec baseball team to a 17-6 win over Greenville in five innings in an East/West Conference game on Tuesday.
Pete Vicneire and Lane Frost added doubles for Carrabec (1-1). Noah Lightbody earned the win.
The Lakers fell to 0-1.
SOFTBALL
CARRABEC 21, GREENVILLE 1, 3 INNINGS: Adawna Landry was 3 for 3 with a double, four RBI and three runs runs scored, and the Cobras (2-0) beat the Lakers (0-1) in a game shortened to three innings by the mercy rule in North Anson.
Karen Baker added a triple and scored three times. Josephine Scheve had two hits, three runs scored and an RBI.
BUCKFIELD 6, VALLEY 1: Carmen Crockett struck out 18 batters in the circle, and collected a double at the plate to lead the Bucks (1-1) to a win over the Cavaliers (3-1) in Bingham.
Cora Brewster went 1 for 3 with 3 RBI, while Brittany Carrier went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI for Buckfield.
Rylee Clark smacked a solo home run for Valley. Madeline Hill struck out eight batters in seven innings of work.
TELSTAR/GOULD 12, RICHMOND 10: The Rebels (1-1) rode a nine-run fourth inning to victory over the Bobcats (0-2) in Richmond.
Taejyah Lego, Brenna Fraser, Claire Irons and Mya Buck drove in two runs apiece for Telstar. Lego had a team-high three hits, and leadoff hitter Cadie Campbell scored three runs. Pitcher Maylyn Hastings struck out six in five innings and Emma McPherson fanned three in two innings.
Brooke Fournier and Aubrey Swift led Richmond’s offense with two hits and two RBI each.
GIRLS LACROSSE
CONY 16, MORSE 7: Abby Morrill and Gabby Vachon each scored four goals and had an assist to lead the Rams (3-1) to a victory over the Shipbuilders (1-2) in Augusta.
Kate Morin and Casey Monson each had two goals, while Paige Logan, Katelynn Dutil, Rylin Miller and Hailey Johnson each added goals for Cony. Avery Maxim had seven saves.
Zoe Avery led Morse with two goals, while Zoe Nicholson, Libby Reblin, Sophia Prager, Micah Wolf and Riley Walters added goals. Irelyn Lathan and Maisie Mains combined for 15 saves.
WAYNFLETE 14, ST. DOMINIC/OAK HILL 2: Lydia Birkness and Skylar Harris both scored five goals as the Flyers (2-0) beat the St. Dominic/Oak Hill co-op (0-3) in Portland.
Lauren McNutt-Girouard, Olivia Rogers, Fallon Culley and Casey Curtis also scored for Waynflete.
Shelby Elwell scored twice for St. Dominic/Oak Hill.
BOYS LACROSSE
OAK HILL/MONMOUTH/LISBON/ST. DOMINIC 12, OXFORD HILLS 4: Kaiden Delano led the Raiders with four goals and an assist, in the home win over the Vikings in Wales.
Gage Spier also contributed three goals and an assist for Oak Hill/Monmouth/Lisbon/St. Dom’s (2-1). Goalkeeper Caster Austin tallied seven saves on 11 shots and held Oxford Hills (0-2) to just one goal in the first half.
Brycen Burnham led the Vikings with two goals, one in the first quarter and one in the fourth.
BASEBALL
RICHMOND 6, TELSTAR 1: The Bobcats plated three runs in the fourth and three in the sixth to improve to 2-0 with a win over the Rebels (0-2) in Richmond.
Zander Steele doubled drove in three runs and Kenny Mecham knocked in two runs for Richmond. Cody Fournier had a team-high three hits and scored twice.
Bobcats pitcher Brady Alexander struck out 10 and held Telstar to three hits over seven innings.
