Are Republicans like they are because they were born that way or raised that way? Do they: lack empathy for the poor and downtrodden, here and abroad; lack respect and support for science, research, facts; hate those who are different from them ethnically, sexually, religiously and/or are immigrants; blindly follow authoritarian figures; support democracy, free speech and the rule of law only when convenient; turn a blind eye to corruption as long as it is Republican corruption; treat both allied countries and those not so friendly with the same disdain; and lie effortlessly … because of their genetics, or because they were raised in communities with those characteristics? I don’t know.
I do know it’s probably unfair to paint all Republicans with this same brush. But I believe the brush applies to those Republicans who continue to support and enable Trump.
