AUGUSTA — Kya Douin had two hits and three RBI to lead the Cony softball team to an 11-0 win over Winslow in five innings on Monday afternoon.
Olivia Duplessis added two hits and an RBI for the Rams (7-3), while Suri Ramkissoon struck out four hitters to earn the win in the circle.
Grace Melvin had two hits for the Black Raiders (3-7).
LEWISTON 5, SKOWHEGAN 4: Aubrey Wood’s two-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Blue Devils (5-6) a walk-off win over the River Hawks (8-3) in Lewiston.
Lewiston rallied for three runs in the final frame. Ava Dionne, who also singled home a run in the bottom of the seventh, finished with three hits, including a double, and three RBI. Wood had two hits, and Hailey Bellemare tripled for the Blue Devils.
Dionne also pitched a complete game. She allowed four runs (two earned) on eight hits, struck out nine and didn’t walk a batter.
Layla Clark tripled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored twice for Skowhegan, which is ranked sixth in the latest Varsity Maine poll. Lydia Jones and Abi Carey each had two hits, and Natalie Gilman hit a triple.
Carey struck out seven and walked five while allowing seven hits and five runs (three unearned) in 6 2/3 innings for the River Hawks.
BASEBALL
CONY 10, WINSLOW 0 (5 INNINGS): The Rams scored four runs in the first inning and five in the second to pull away in a mercy-rule win over the Black Raiders in Augusta.
Drew Lindquist struck out six in three innings of work and allowed just one hit for Cony (9-2). The Rams had 10 players with one hit each.
Lucas Fisher, Ben Thomas and Zane Erickson each had a hit for Winslow (1-8).
MARANACOOK 8, OAK HILL 1: Will Watson hit a two-run home run as the Black Bears earned the win at Kents Hill School in Readfield.
Grady Hreben, River Fallos and Wyatt Farrington combined for a four-hitter for Maranacook (6-3).
Joseph Greenwood and Braden New had two hits apiece for Oak Hill (1-7).
GIRLS LACROSSE
LINCOLN ACADEMY 10, MESSALONSKEE 4: Mariam DeLisle scored six goals to lift Lincoln Academy (6-1) past Messalonskee (3-6) in Newcastle.
Yzze Bhe added three goals, while Rowan Coffin tied the program record with four assists. Zoe Day also had a goal and an assist.
Chloe Masse scored four goals for Messalonskee.
MORSE 16, WINSLOW/LAWRENCE 6: Zoe Avery scored five goals and the Shipbuilders (6-3) beat the Winslow/Lawrence co-op (1-10) in Fairfield.
Micah Wolf and Riley Walters also scored for Morse.
Kyllie Delile and Sage Dugal both scored twice for Winslow/Lawrence.
MT. BLUE 13, MCI/NOKOMIS 2: Bree Griffin led the Cougars’ onslaught with five goals and an assist, and Lily Huntley continued her hot streak with four goals and a pair of assists in the victory in Newport.
Grace Allen scored twice and Nina Bogar and Annabell Fearon each contributed a goal for Mt. Blue (5-3). Abbi Donald assisted on three goals, and goalie Gwen Lesperance stopped six of the eight shots she faced.
Haylee Ramasco and Elle Toulouse each scored for MCI/Nokomis (0-8), and Hailey Callahan made 14 saves.
