Monmouth Academy remained undefeated but had its hands full Thursday in a 4-3 softball victory over visiting Mountain Valley.

Monmouth pitcher Shannah Parsons struck out five, walked one and limited Mountain Valley (7-3) to three hits while not allowing an earned run. At the plate, Parsons had a game-high two hits with a single and a double, helping the Mustangs improve to 9-0.

One of the Falcons’ three hits was a double by Hayden Chase.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 7, RICHMOND 6: Lilah Morris drew a walk with the bases loaded to cap a three-run seventh-inning rally for the Seagulls (2-5) against the Bobcats (3-6) in Old Orchard Beach.

Jordyn Methot had two hits for OOB, including an RBI double in the seventh. Morris finished with two RBI.

Richmond’s Breonna Dufresne hit two doubles, scored three runs and drove in one. Brooklyn Hooper also had two hits and a scored a run.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 11, WINTHROP/MARANACOOK 10: The Phoenix (6-4) overcame a one-run deficit with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh and defeated the Rambling Bears (2-7) in Jay.

After Spruce Mountain tied the game in the sixth, Maranacook regained the lead with a run in the top of the seventh to go up 10-9. Rylee Turner knocked in both of the Phoenix’s seventh-inning runs with a one-out, two-run triple.

Turner also had a double and finished with four RBI. Santika Hodgkin scored five runs and hit two doubles as part of a game-high four hits for Spruce Mountain. Mallory Clark added two hits and three RBI and Tyoaka Hodgkin had two hits and an RBI.

Turner struck out 10 batters in seven innings in the circle to earn the win.

Harper Fyfe and Piper Clark each had two doubles and three hits for Maranacook/Winthrop, which scored seven runs in the top of the fifth. Cyara Harriman added two hits and two RBI, and Ella Rice and Avery Loiko had two hits apiece.

CARRABEC 30, TEMPLE ACADEMY 0: The Cobras exploded for 18 runs in the first inning to breeze to a three-inning victory over the Bereans in Waterville.

Karen Baker had five hits for Carrabec (7-1), while Amiya Tibbetts and Kaitlin Dellarma had four each. Tibbetts had a triple, two doubles and five RBI.

Madelyn Corey and Camryn Cloutier had hits for Temple (1-9).

EDWARD LITTLE 10, CONY 0: Sophomore Chloe LeBlanc pitched a five-inning no-hitter as the Red Eddies (7-4) charged past the Rams (7-4) in Auburn.

LeBlanc struck out four batters and walked two.

Kassidy Lobb tripled, singled, drove in four runs and scored one for Edward Little. Lexi Kelsea added two hits and an RBI, Kylee Lebrun doubled and drove in a pair of runs, and Emily Poulin and Allie Michaud each scored three runs.

GIRLS LACROSSE

LINCOLN ACADEMY 10, CONY 3: Mariam DeLisle scored four of her six goals in the second half as the Eagles (7-1) pulled away from the Rams (7-3) in Augusta.

Rowan Coffin added two goals and an one assist, and Sammi Kopp and Scarlett O’Brien each had one goal and one assist to help Lincoln moved into first place in the Class C Heal point standings. The Eagles led 4-2 at halftime.

Abby Morrill scored all three goals for Cony, which is ranked third in Class B. Morrill’s third goal was the 131st of her career, which surpasses 2012 graduate Amelia Diplock for the most in program history.

MT. BLUE 9, BANGOR 6: Bree Griffin and Lily Huntley both scored three goals as the Cougars (6-3) defeated the Rams (7-2) in Farmington.

Maya Kellett added two goals and Abbi Donald also scored for Mt. Blue.

Kiersten Daigle and Isabella Fagone led Bangor with two goals apiece.

BOYS LACROSSE

OAK HILL/MONMOUTH/LISBON/ST. DOMINIC 10, LEWISTON 6: Kaiden Delano’s four-goal, two-assist performance paced the Raiders (5-4) past the Blue Devils (4-5) in Lewiston.

Gage Spier and Nathan Dillman contributed two goals apiece to the Oak Hill co-op’s victory, while Hunter Landry and Colby Marcotte scored one each, and goalie Carter Austin stopped 11 of the 17 shots he faced.

Collin Michaud led Lewiston with three goals and two assists. Lucas Bragdon, Ben Gradwell and Isaac Bellemore each added one goal, and Jackson Bement assisted on a pair of goals. Brock Rancourt finished with 15 saves.

BASEBALL

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 11, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 3: Levi Laverdiere and Sam Schultz each had two hits and drove in two runs in the Mustangs’ (7-2) win over the Falcons (3-5) at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Schultz had a triple and Laverdiere notched a double. Kyle LePage doubled and had two RBI for Monmouth.

Bradley Sirois had two singles and a RBI and Kegan Jordan singled and drove in a run for Mountain Valley
