Skowhegan scored six runs in the first inning and beat Brunswick, 6-3, in a baseball game Monday afternoon in Skowhegan.
Silas Tibbetts pitched a complete game for Skowhegan (5-8), allowing three unearned runs on two hits. He struck out 12 and walked one.
Allan Swain homered and drove in three runs for Brunswick (8-3). He also pitched 5 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
MARANACOOK 6, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 5: The Black Bears (9-3) scored three times in the fourth inning on their way to a win over the Falcons (5-7) in Rumford.
Caldre Glowa had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs. Noah Longfellow added two RBI, while Walker Dumas had two hits and scored three times. Grant Walters hit a double.
Josh Pollis had two hits, including a double, and three RBI for Mountain Valley. Tyler Warren added two hits.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 4, HALL-DALE 3: Levi Laverdiere pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings to earn the win and scored twice as the Mustangs (8-3) beat the Bulldogs (2-9) in Monmouth.
Laverdiere struck out three and didn’t allow a hit or a walk in relief of Kyle LePage, who gave up three runs in 5 1/3 innings. Sam Schultz and LePage each drove in a run.
SOFTBALL
CARRABEC 18, GREENVILLE 0: Aiyana Tibbetts had a double, a triple and three RBI as the Cobras (9-1) beat the Lakers (0-8) in Greenville.
Tibbets drove in two runs and scored two runs for Carrabec. Adawana Landry and Ava Welch also scored three times each. Lily Caldwell had a pair of RBI.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 20, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 10: Kyanah Wing had two hits, including a double, and drove in four runs as the Falcons (9-4) beat Maranacook/Winthrop co-op (2-11) in Rumford.
Hayden Chase added three hits, including a double and drove in run three for Mountain Valley. Layce Boucher added a double, Maddy Brown had two hits, including a triple, drove in two and scored three, and Ali Mazza added three hits and three runs scored.
Ella Rice and Cyara Harriman each had two hits for Maranacook/Winthrop.
OAK HILL 12, MADISON 5: The Raiders (6-6) scored six times in the fourth inning on their way to a run over the Bulldogs (1-10) in Wales.
Sydney Wood was 2 for 3 with two RBI and two runs scored for Oak Hill. Carlee Austin added two hits, two RBI and a run scored, while Olivia French scored three times.
Izzy Whitaker pitched five innings in relief, allowing one run on one hits to earn the win.
Mackenzie Robbins had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored for Madison.
