Falmouth’s spring has been filled with close games (seven of its 11 have been settled by three runs or fewer, including four by one run) and has lacked prolific scoring (five runs or less in seven of first nine games). The Navigators’ bats broke out last week when they earned a couple of wins over Varsity Maine top 10 teams — 6-5 over South Portland and 10-3 over Biddeford.

Falmouth enters the poll this week at No. 9. Biddeford, last week’s N0. 3, is now fifth, while South Portland falls from sixth to 10th.

Marshwood, which has won nine straight games, moves from fourth to second place behind season-long No. 1 Scarborough.

The Varsity Maine baseball poll is based on games played before May 27, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
