Grady Hreben doubled home the go-ahead run in the eighth inning as Maranacook rallied past Mt. Abram in a Mountain Valley Conference baseball matchup Friday in Salem Township.

Noah Longfellow was 2 for 3 with an RBI and three runs scored, while Hreben and Caldre Glowa each drove in two runs for the Black Bears (10-4), who tied the game with two runs in the sixth.

Hreben also pitched the first six innings before giving way to River Fallos, who threw two hitless innings to earn the win.

Ash Rollins had two hits and two runs scored for the Roadrunners (10-4).

OXFORD HILLS 10, SKOWHEGAN 0: Carson Stevens pitched a one-hit shutout for the Vikings (9-6) in their six-inning win over the River Hawks (5-10) in Skowhegan.

The Vikings have won three straight games, six of their past seven and eight of the past 10.

Stevens struck out five and didn’t allow a walk in six innings. He also contributed offensively with a hit and an RBI.

Colton Jendrick was 2 for 4 with a double, two runs and four RBI, while Gunner Truman and Jacob Turcotte each drove in a pair of runs for Oxford Hills, and Cam Pulkkinen contributed two hits, including a double.

Trevor Austin had Skowhegan’s only hit.

SOFTBALL

CARRABEC 15, TELSTAR/GOULD 1: Aiyanna Tibbetts homered, drove in three runs and scored four runs for the Cobras (11-2) in their win over the Rebels (5-8) in Bethel.

Tibbetts was one of four Carrabec players with three hits, along with Karen Baker (double, triple), Adawna Landry (double) and Amiya Tibbetts, who each also drove in a run. Kaitlin Dellarma and Lily Caldwell had two hits and an RBI apiece.

Jillian Robinson pitched all seven innings for the Cobras, striking out 10, walking three and limiting the Rebels to three hits.

Telstar’s Cadie Campbell tripled, and Viv Charette and Emma McPherson each had a single.

NOKOMIS 9, CONY 6: Pitcher Hallie Coots earned the win in the circle and went 3 for 5 at the plate with a double, two RBI and a run as the Warriors (8-7) battled past the Rams (9-5) in Augusta.

Coots pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts.

MaKenzie Watson also had three hits for Nokomis, while Hannah Brewer (double) and Abby Caron each drove in two runs and Jenna Sawtelle added two hits. The Warriors, as a team, racked up 15 hits.

Cony tallied 11 hits, led by Suri Ramkissoon (double, three RBI), Abby Brown (RBI) and Khloe Price with two apiece. Kya Douin tripled, drove in a run and scored two.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 13, MT. VIEW 3: Lilah Morris had three hits and two RBI, Hannah Webber drove in three runs, and the Seagulls (4-10) defeated the Mustangs (2-12) in Old Orchard Beach.

The Seagulls went ahead 7-0 with a six-run second inning. Jordyn Methot smacked a two-run homer, Morris hit a two-run double, Emelia Michaud doubled home a run, and Hannah Webber hit a sacrifice fly.

Madison Duplisea and Adora Whitten each had two hits. Webber was also the winning pitcher, allowing seven hits and no walks while striking out two.

Emily Richards and Jayden Dodge each drove in a run for the Mustangs. Richards stole two bases.

HALL-DALE 5, LISBON 2: The four-time defending Class C champion Bulldogs (12-2) plated five runs in the top of the seventh inning to overtake the Greyhounds (9-4) and avoid their second consecutive loss of the week in Friday’s C South matchup in Lisbon.

Lucy Gray earned a complete-game win by striking out six and limiting Lisbon to three hits.

Gray also doubled and drove in two runs for Hall-Dale, which lost to Monmouth on Monday. Torie Tibbetts singled twice and had two RBI, and Genevieve Ciccarelli drove in a run and had two hits, including a double. Claire Kapinos (two hits) and Jade Graham also doubled for the Bulldogs.

Greyhounds pitcher Makenzie Eaton struck out six, walked five and scattered eight hits over seven innings. She also doubled, drove in a run and scored on Sophie Bowie’s fourth-inning single. Brooke Norman had Lisbon’s other hit.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 5, MEDOMAK VALLEY 4: The Eagles scored all five runs in the sixth inning and withstood a two-run rally by the Panthers in the seventh to earn a vital KVAC Class B win in South China.

Kelsie Dunn pitched a complete game with six strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs for Erskine (7-7). Kammie Thompson had two hits for the Eagles.

Arianna Sproul had a single and an RBI for Medomak Valley (12-3).

GIRLS LACROSSE

CONY 11, MESSALONSKEE 8: Gabby Vachon and Casey Monson scored four goals apiece to lead the Rams (10-3) past the Eagles (5-7) in Augusta.

Vachon also assisted on three goals. Katelynn Dutil added two goals and Abby Morrill contributed a goal and two assists for Cony. Goalie Avery Maxim made six saves.

Messalonskee’s Chloe Masse netted a game-high five goals and had one assist. Sophie Ventimiglia scored twice and Riley Stewart had one goal. Eagles goalie Adriana Pettengill stopped seven shots.

GREELY 8, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 6: Audrey Ingersoll had three goals and two assists to lead the Rangers (7-5) over Maranacook/Winthrop (9-2) in Cumberland.

Hadley Hatch added two goals, and Avery Bush, Kelsey Crocker and Kylie Lord also scored.

Cooper Davis led Maranacook/Winthrop with two goals, followed by Emerson Davis, Hadley Farwell, Alice Ferran and Stella Stewart with one apiece.

Liv Clark made 12 saves for Greely. Devyn Eliasen and Willow Woodford combined for six saves for Maranacook/Winthrop.
