The Boston Red Sox promoted infielder Blaze Jordan to Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday.
Jordan, who played 133 games for the Portland Sea Dogs over the last two seasons, was named the Eastern League Player of the Week last week. He has been red-hot in May, hitting .390 with five doubles, six home runs and 24 RBI.
Jordan, a third-round pick in the 2020 draft, is batting .320 with six home runs and 37 RBI this season. He has a .415 on-base percentage and a .513 slugging percentage.
Also Tuesday, Karson Simas and Corey Rosier were sent to Portland from Worcester. Rosier, an outfielder, has played parts of three seasons, including 11 games this season, with the Sea Dogs. Simas, an infielder, played 16 games in Portland last season, and 19 more this spring.
