For the first time this spring, Scarborough isn’t atop the Varsity Maine baseball poll. Marshwood beat the Red Storm in a No. 2-vs.-No. 1 showdown on Monday and takes over at No. 1 this week. Scarborough, which retained one first-place vote, is in second place.

Thornton Academy is still third, while Mt. Ararat moved from sixth last week to fourth and Cape Elizabeth jumped from eighth to a tie for fifth with Gorham.

No. 9 York is the only new team in this week’s rankings.

The Varsity Maine baseball poll is based on games played before June 3, 2025. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.
