York is the new second-place team in this week’s poll, leapfrogging Thornton Academy, after wins over Yarmouth (last week’s No. 2) and Gorham.

Losses to York and No. 7 Cape Elizabeth drop Yarmouth to fourth, and Freeport moves from seventh to fifth place.

Falmouth is still No. 1, and Windham joins the rankings at No. 9.
