The Maine Baseball & Softball Coaches Association on Thursday announced the finalists for the Mr. Baseball and Miss Softball awards, which are given to the top senior players in the state.
The Dr. John Winkin Mr. Baseball award winner will be announced at the Ed Flaherty Classic senior all-star games Tuesday, June 24, at St. Joseph’s College in Standish. The 10 finalists are:
• Cole Payne, Bangor Christian
• Tyler Simmons, Falmouth
• Hayden Strout, Foxcroft Academy
• Keeler Vogt, Greely
• Wyatt Nadeau, Gorham
• Finn Knowles, Lee Academy
• Xavier Estes, Madison
• Kaysen Wildman, Hampden Academy
• Kenny Mecham, Richmond
• Erik Swenson, Scarborough
There are eight finalists for the Miss Softball award, which will be presented at the Maine senior all-star softball games Wednesday, June 25, at St. Joseph’s College in Standish. Here are the finalists are:
• Carmen Crockett, Buckfield
• Natalie Simpson, Bucksport
• Jayden Sullivan, Ellsworth
• Braelynn Wilcox, Hermon
• Shannah Parsons, Monmouth Academy
• Ellie Austin, Penobscot Valley
• Kennedy Kimball, Windham
• Julia Pike, Kennebunk
