Ash Rollins raced home from third on an infield grounder to cap a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning as top-seeded Mt. Abram beat fourth-seeded Old Orchard Beach 5-4 in a Class C South semifinal in Salem Township.

The Roadrunners (14-4) will face No. 3 Monmouth (14-4) in the regional final Tuesday at St. Joseph’s College in Standish.

Kooper Gervais was working on a three-hitter for Old Orchard Beach before five consecutive Mt. Abram batters reached safely in the seventh. Winning pitcher Kaiden Longley’s second triple of the game made it 4-3, and he scored the tying run on a Bryce Wilcox single.

Wilcox finished with two hits and two RBI.

Wes Gallant and Trot Moody both had two hits and two runs scored for the Seagulls (12-6).

SOFTBALL

BUCKFIELD 10, CARRABEC 4: The top-seeded Bucks (17-1) scored five runs in the fifth inning to erase a 2-1 deficit, then added four in the sixth to secure a Class D South semifinal win over the third-seeded Cobras (15-3) in Buckfield.

Amelia Hill drove in three runs, and Chloee Bennett and Cori Merrill each had two RBI for the Bucks, who will play second-seeded North Yarmouth Academy, which defeated St. Dom’s 4-3 on Saturday, in the regional final on Tuesday. Brittany Carrier was 3 for 4 with three runs scored, and Carmen Crockett pitched a four-hitter with 13 strikeouts.

Carrabec’s Aiyana Tibbetts had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.
