Arleen Nancy Worster
MOOSE RIVER – Arleen Nancy Worster, 78, formerly of Moose River, Maine, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Concord, N.H. at Granite VNA Hospice House.
Born in Medford, Mass., Arleen was a happy-go-lucky person with a gentle soul and kind spirit. She found deep joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with her family, enjoying nature, and living close to the land. She was passionate about hunting and fishing, and especially cherished autumn rides through the woods with her husband and children, always on the lookout for grouse and deer.
Arleen was also a talented and creative soul. She loved cooking, particularly baking bread, and spent countless hours sewing and crafting. Her love for dolls became a lifelong passion; she not only collected them but also mastered the art of doll making herself.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Amaya of New Port Richey, Fla.; her grandson, Michael Amaya, his wife Jaymie, and their daughters Emma and Abigail of Goffstown, N.H. She also leaves behind her twin brother, Allen Abriel of Merrimack, N.H., her older brother, John Abriel of San Diego, Calif.; a very special someone who was like a daughter to her, Andrea (McIntyre) Wood and her husband, Chuck Wood; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Arleen was predeceased by her devoted husband of 46 years, Larry Worster of Moose River; and her son, Curt Worster.
A small graveside service for family and close friends will be held in her memory.
Arleen will be remembered for her gentle warmth, her deep love for her family, and her joyful embrace of life’s many adventures.
