If Sen. Susan Collins votes for the “big, beautiful bill,” which she probably will if her vote is needed to pass the bill, do not let her gloss over that she will have voted to kick millions of people off Medicaid in order to give big tax cuts to the very wealthy.
In any case, we cannot let Sen. Collins mislead Maine voters as to exactly what devastating cuts are in this bill, which will crush many things we hold dear, the health of our friends, families and neighbors. We know our entire health care system depends on adequate funding for Medicaid and Medicare.
It’s not enough that she claims to disagree with those cuts, she has to vote against the bill. Period.
