Hey, Mainers, are you planning to attend the NBA Draft on June 25 in Brooklyn, New York?
If so, we’d love to hear from you. Maine Trust for Local News sports columnist Travis Lazarczyk and photographer Derek Davis will be there to potentially witness history, with Newport native Cooper Flagg poised to be selected No. 1 overall by the Dallas Mavericks.
Flagg, who starred at Nokomis High in Newport before going to prep power Montverde Academy and then Duke, would become the first Mainer selected No. 1 overall in the NBA Draft.
If you are planning to attend, please reach out to Lazarczyk at [email protected] or sports editor Bill Stewart at [email protected].
