Almost as soon as Cooper Flagg was drafted first overall by the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night, his No. 32 jersey began flying off shelves.

Long lines quickly formed at the Mavericks team store during a draft watch party at the American Airlines Center, the Dallas Morning News reported.

But if you’re not up to making the long drive from Maine to Texas, there are still a few ways to get your hands on the Newport native’s new jersey.

Only one of Flagg’s jerseys listed on the NBA and Mavericks online stores as of Thursday — a blue Nike jersey that sells for $120 — had a guaranteed shipping date: within two days.

Other jerseys listed say they will ship within seven business days of the player’s jersey number confirmation, while special edition jerseys will not be shipped until later this summer — as late as August.

Those online stores have blue, white and navy jerseys available in adult sizes, with the Nike “First Round Draft Pick Swingman” editions listed for $120 and replica versions listed at $70. Youth sizes, priced at $60, are only available in blue.

The same prices and jersey options can be found on Fanatics’ website. Dick’s Sporting Goods’ website also has adult sizes listed at $120, though youth jerseys are $90.

Dick’s Sporting Goods locations in South Portland and Topsham did not have Flagg jerseys in stock as of Thursday.

A manager at the South Portland store said Thursday that the location doesn’t carry Mavericks products but could make an exception, considering Flagg’s Maine connections.

Meanwhile, a manager at the Topsham location said the store recently inquired about stocking Flagg jerseys, but it seems doubtful that they will be selling them there anytime soon.

For the serious collector, some special merchandise is also available online. An official Nike jersey signed by Maine’s biggest star is listed for $1,000 on Fanatics’ website, along with a signed basketball for $750.

Second-hand websites like eBay are already crawling with memorabilia, from autographed Duke jerseys that go for hundreds of dollars to signed trading cards going for thousands — in the same range as merchandise signed by LeBron James.
