The Maine Celtics announced Phil Pressey as their head coach on Wednesday.
Pressey is the franchise’s 11th head coach and the first to have also played for the team. Pressey scored 34 points for the then-Red Claws in one game while on assignment from the Boston Celtics during the 2014-15 season.
Pressey began his coaching career in 2022 as an assistant at the University of Missouri, where he was a three-year standout. He also played 125 games over two seasons with the Boston Celtics from 2013-15. He has been a player development coach with the Boston Celtics since 2023.
Pressy replaces Tyler Lashbrook, who will remain in Boston as an assistant coach.
