Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for a missing Clinton man and asking for the public’s assistance.

Police were trying to locate William Parent, 67, the Clinton Police Department said in a social media post Tuesday.
Parent was last seen on June 20 at his residence on Main Street in Clinton, police said.
“A family member went to check on him after not hearing from him for several days and found the door to his home open,” the post said. “Mr. Parent was not there, and efforts to contact him have been unsuccessful.”
Parent is described as a white male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, thin build, blue eyes, gray hair and bald. He has a scar under his right eye and wears sunglasses.
Clinton police said a ping from Parent’s cellphone suggests he may have been in the Washington area of Knox County following his disappearance.
On Wednesday, Maine State Police said in a news release that the agency was assisting local police.
“Law enforcement is concerned for his safety and well-being,” state police said.
Those with any information are asked to call the Clinton Police Department at 207-426-9192 or the Maine State Police at 207-624-7076.
