Ann B. Rioux
AUGUSTA – Ann B. Rioux, 65, passed away on July 2, 2025 at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn with her loving husband by her side. She was born June 13, 1960, a daughter of Robert and Eleanor (Gragnolati) Boettger.
Ann grew up in Mt. Vernon and was a graduate of Maranacook High School in the class of 1978. She went on to graduate from Thomas College in 1980. On August 20, 1983, she married Ronald Rioux and the two have been happily married for 41 years.
For 34 years, she worked for various departments for the State of Maine in an accounting capacity. Ann enjoyed taking walks and observing the beauty of flowers and flower gardens she would encounter. She was an avid reader and enjoyed completing puzzles. A detailed person, she was very smart and was good with numbers. In addition, Ann was a great conversationalist and thoroughly enjoyed other people’s company.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Rioux; her brother, William “Bill” Boettger; her dear friend, Brenda Corkum; and many loving in-laws and relatives from out of state.
Ann’s family wishes to thank the staff of the Andwell Hospice House for the compassionate care given to Ann during her final days.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10 a.m., at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 75 Northern, Ave., Augusta, ME 04330. Burial will follow at Kling Cemetery on West River Road in Augusta.
