CHELSEA – Christopher J. “CJ” Hunnewell, 43, passed away at home on June 11, 2025. He was the loving husband to Jessie A. (Carter) Hunnewell.
CJ was born Dec. 25, 1981, in Portland. He was the son of Dale Hunnewell and the late Nanette (Walls) Hunnewell. He was a graduate of Gardiner High School.
CJ was a loving husband and great dad. He enjoyed gaming and will be remembered for his great laugh. He loved to help people and enjoyed talking and expressing his feelings. He was a devoted family man.
He worked as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician for many years.
In addition to his loving wife Jesse, CJ is survived by his daughters Syiah Hunnewell and Kayanne Hunnewell, his sister Cheri Waterman. His father and mother-in-law Kathleen Williams and her husband Harvey along with David Carter and his wife Angela, his brother-in-law Matthew Carter as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his mother, CJ was predeceased by his grandmother Linda Walls, his sister Whitney Messier and his brother-in-law Michael Carter.
CJ’s visiting hours will be in the Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 3-5:30 p.m. There will be a service at 5:30 p.m., to celebrate CJ’s life. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop, Maine.
