CHELSEA – Ty E. Carter, 22, passed away at home on June 11, 2025. He was the fiancé of Chili Mulgado.

Ty was born June 24, 2002, in Lewiston. He is the son of Jesse (Carter) Hunnewell and the late Christopher J. “CJ” Hunnewell. He was a graduate of Maine Arts Academy and went on to further his education at the University of Southern Maine where he received his associate’s degree in computer science.

Ty was a force of pure love and joy. He was a beautiful gift to all who were lucky enough to know his heart. He will be remembered as an amazing person with a gentle, sensitive, caring soul. His sparkly brown eyes, his little smirk, his contagious laugh and his love for his family will forever be in our hearts. He also enjoyed reading Manga, watching Anime and gaming,

In addition to his fiancé and mom, Ty is survived by his sisters Syiah Hunnewell and Kayanne Hunnewell. Also, his grandparents, Kathleen Williams and her husband Harvey, David Carter and his wife Angela and Dale Hunnewell. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles including Matthew Carter as well as many friends.

He is predeceased by his great grandmother Nanette (Walls) Hunnewell and his uncle Michael Carter.

Ty’s visiting hours will be in the Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 3-5:30 p.m. There will be a service at 5:30 p.m. to celebrate Ty’s life. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
