Addison DeRoche, Cheverus: Sophomore continued to dominate hitters this spring. She pitched four no-hitters, including a perfect game in the Class A South semifinals. She struck out 177 batters in 81 innings, allowed only five earned runs (0.43 ERA) and 18 hits, and was no slouch at the plate: .533 average, 1.156 slugging, seven homers, 30 RBI.
Stella Jarvais, Windham: An all-around standout in three sports. The future UMaine soccer player was named to two All-State teams (including Varsity Maine’s) in the fall. She averaged 12.5 points and 7 rebounds during the basketball season, earning SMAA first team and defensive team honors. Then she finished her high school sports career playing catcher for the Class A champion softball team, and was named SMAA Defensive Player of the Year while batting .517.

Abby Morrill, Cony: One of the most prolific athletes the Augusta school has had, Morrill hit milestones in three different sports this season. In the fall, she set the new career scoring mark for Cony field hockey. Then she surpassed 1,000 career points in basketball and was named Varsity Maine All-State. Finally, in the spring, she scored her 100th goal and set the lacrosse program record for career goals.
Hannah Perro, Noble: The Varsity Maine Girls Wrestler of the Year captured her third consecutive girls state wrestling title, and her second straight girls New England crown. She also placed fourth in her weight class for the co-ed squad at the Class A championships. And she did all of that with a torn labrum in her shoulder that required postseason surgery.
