Canadian news media continues to carry reports of Maine officials inviting Canadians to visit Maine. My advice to the people of Maine is: save your breath.
Why would Canadians want to visit a nation with a president like Donald Trump and his daily threats of new tariffs and relentless claims of Canada becoming a 51st state? Please, skip the “Bienvenue” messages and concentrate instead on defeating Trump allies in Maine, New York and neighboring states in 2026. That is the only way I can think of to curb the president’s outrageous excesses.
And, by the way, you had a chance to defeat a Republican senator last time and did not do so.
