Maine champion Bonny Eagle scored seven runs in the fourth inning and eliminated Concord Youth National of New Hampshire with a 12-2 mercy-rule win in the Little League Softball New England regional Tuesday morning in Bristol, Connecticut.

Maine improved to 2-1 and will face Rhode Island (1-1) in an elimination game at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The game can be streamed on ESPN+.

Starting pitcher Baylee Pouliot struck out nine, walked two and allowed one hit in four innings for Bonny Eagle. After giving up a single in the second, Pouliot retired the final seven batters.

New Hampshire (0-2) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a fielder’s choice and a passed ball, but Maine answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning on an RBI double by Liberty Atkinson, an RBI single by Jamine Peters and an RBI groundout by Pouliot.

Maine added a run in both the second and third innings. Claire Havu’s score on a dropped third strike in the second, and Jasmine Peters scored on a passed ball in the third.

Bonny Eagle extended its lead in the fourth inning, scoring on three straight wild pitches. Shaylee Shanwood was forced home by a bases-loaded walk to make it 9-2, and Julia Peters scored on a wild pitch. Brylee Goriss added a two-run single.

Bonny Eagle had eight hits and drew eight walks.
