Zach Ehrhard tied the game with a two-out, two-run homer in the ninth inning, and Mikey Romero hit an RBI single in the 11th as the Portland Sea Dogs rallied for a 3-2 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels in an Eastern League game Tuesday in Richmond, Virginia.
The Sea Dogs were held to three hits through eight innings, but Romero and James Tibbs III started the ninth with back-to-back singles. A double play delayed the comeback, but Ehrhard followed with a drive over the left-field fence.
Romero’s 11th-inning single drove in automatic runner Marvin Alcantara.
Jorge Juan was credited with his first win for the Sea Dogs after pitching the final two innings. Hayden Mullins started on the mound and struck out seven over four innings, allowing three hits, two walks and one run.
