Born in Maine, retired in Florida, UMaine (Orono) Class of ’72 and still a “Mainah” at heart, I support Jared Golden for Congress.
Paul LePage paints Golden as a left-wing Democrat. Being a left-wing Democrat myself, I can assure voters that he is not. I often disagree with him, but that is to be expected representing a red district. But Golden would be far better than LePage in representing Maine interests. He was a combat Marine in Afghanistan and Iraq and has represented Maine well since 2019.
Jared Golden has stood up to President Trump’s excesses: adding trillions to the national debt, hurting Maine’s poor and middle class by cutting Medicaid, SNAP (food stamps), subsidies to Obamacare and refusing to make billionaires pay their fair share of taxes.
Let’s keep Jared Golden as Maine’s representative in the 2nd Congressional District in 2026.
Remember, “As Maine goes, so goes the nation.”
