Ken Eisen, who helped create Waterville’s Railroad Square Cinema and the Maine International Film Festival, was honored with the festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award during a ceremony, held on Friday, July 18. Ken’s advice and support of independent theaters in Maine has been invaluable over the last 45 years.
When we turned the Harbor Theater in Boothbay Harbor into a nonprofit in 2017, Eisen played a major role in breaking in our new management and arranging contracts with major movie studios and independent film distributors. He continues to book films for the theater’s program, including first-run films, a classic series, art series and many special events for the community.
We remain grateful to Ken for his role in Harbor Theater’s success and congratulate him on this well-deserved award.
