Harlean E. Jordan
AUGUSTA – Harlean E. Jordan, 89, died Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her home following a short illness. She was born in Washington, Maine on Dec. 6, 1935, a daughter of the late Harlan E. and Evelyn F. (Sukeforth) Sidelinger.
Mrs. Jordan graduated from Waldoboro High School and was a member of the Second Congregational Church of Warren, and more recently attended South Parish Congregational Church UCC in Augusta.
She was a Mom to four and Nanny to five, and had been a volunteer at Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport for many years.
Mrs. Jordan was a member of the Midcoast Ladies Shrine Club and also enjoyed the times she spent with “the coffee ladies” of Augusta.
She was predeceased by a brother, David A. Sidelinger and a sister, Sylvia M. Harkins.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert E. Jordan of Augusta; her children, Dawn R. Jordan of Woolwich, Donna R. Bansmer (Ron) of Augusta, Timothy R. Jordan (Heidi) of Hollis and Tamera J. O’Brien (Dan) of Searsmont, two brothers, Douglas L. Sidelinger of Canaan and Scott N. Sidelinger of West Gardiner; grandchildren Jacob, Katrina, Emily and Lilly; one great grandchild, Tanner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at South Parish Congregational Church, Church St., Augusta. Burial and committal prayers will follow at 2 p.m. graveside at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, Maine.
