NORTH ANSON – Rodney Lee Taylor born on Jan. 14, 1957, in Farmington, Maine to George and Linnie Taylor of

Starks Maine.

In his early years he worked on his grandparents dairy farm. Rodney attended Madison High school; He enjoyed school and learning.

He married Betty Sevey and they settled in Chesterville, where they had three children, Sarah, Seth and Caleb. He had various hobbies like gardening and raising animals.

Rodney had a passion for old moper cars and trucks. He also enjoyed working on vehicles and especially found excitement in locating old vehicles and parts he could sell or repurpose.

Over the years Rodney had various jobs. Typically he would do odd jobs like painting, construction, selling fire wood, and landscaping.

Later in life Rodney took comfort in friends he had made over the years and was always eager to make new friends and acquaintances.

Rodney passed away peacefully asleep in his bed on the morning of Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

He was predeceased by his parents and older brother Paul. He is survived by his sisters Mary, Patty and Elaine. He leaves behind by his three children; and eight grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4 at 2:30 p.m. at the East Mercer Cemetery, followed by refreshments at Mad House Grill in Norridgewock.
