Jack Collins
ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Jack Collins, 36, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2025.
Born and raised in Thorndike, Maine, Jack graduated from Mount View High School in 2007 and went on to build a proud career with the United States Postal Service. Whether at work or at home, Jack was known for his kindness, quick wit, and the way he could make anyone feel welcome.
Jack’s creativity shone brightest in the kitchen, where he had a true gift for cake baking and decorating. He loved traveling – New York City holding a special place in his heart – and had a lifelong love for animals, especially his beloved dogs, Karma and Scout. At home, he was always dreaming up and tackling new improvement projects. He was also an enthusiastic fan of basketball, football, and NASCAR, always ready to cheer on his favorites.
Jack was predeceased by his grandmother, Ethel Philbrick, whose memory he treasured.
He leaves behind his loving husband, Russell Collins; his mother, Susan Philbrick; his devoted aunt Maggie Sirois; and his cousin and best friend, Corinne Gibbs. He is also survived by his sisters, Leanne Philbrick and Katie Reynolds; along with a large circle of cousins, friends, and extended family who will miss him dearly.
Jack’s laughter, generosity, and adventurous spirit touched everyone he met, and his absence leaves an ache that will be felt for years to come.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 24, from 1 to 5 p.m., at O’Brien’s Event Center, 375 Main St., Waterville. All who knew Jack are welcome to come share memories, laughter, and love in his honor.
