M. Brenda Shaw
AUGUSTA – M. Brenda Shaw died in Augusta on Aug. 10, 2025. She was born in Augusta on Feb. 3, 1939, the daughter of the late Clifton R. and Pauline R. Shaw.
She attended local schools and Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield. Brenda graduated from Cony High in the class of 1956 and then went on to House of Pines in Norton, Mass.
She was employed by New England Telephone as a service representative, staff instructor, business office supervisor and then a cable splice foreman. Brenda then transferred to AT&T as a Phone Center Manager for Waterville, Lewiston, Portland, Biddeford and Portsmouth N.H., then to Service Agency Manager for Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and upstate New York with 34 years of service in 1993. She worked nights and weekends for Damon’s Market and Whippers Pizza in Winslow.
She is survived by her nephew, Robert LeBlanc.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her sister, Donna LeBlanc; and close friend, Seth Greene.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church, 41 Western Ave., Augusta. Interment will follow immediately after at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Augusta, where she will be laid to rest on her family plot.
Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home and Cremation Care, One Church St., in Augusta.
